UWE Bristol School of Arts had a fantastic opportunity for a Programme Support Assistant (PSA) to support our BA and MA Photography programmes.
Based at City Campus, you\xe2\x80\x99ll act as a liaison, and support between students and staff \xe2\x80\x93 supporting students in their learning, developing practice, and achieving their preferred destinations within these practice-based programmes. Our PSAs provide valuable enhanced support and mentoring to students as well as links to programme staff, contributing to the continuous improvement of the student experience.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll work alongside the programme team, to develop and implement a social media strategy that promotes the programmes and disseminates student work to new audiences via appropriate social media platforms.
In addition, our PSAs often help facilitate healthy and dynamic working environments, assisting with project management support for student-led initiatives and profile-raising projects such as external events and other projects that may sit outside the formal academic curricula and student experience.
Ideally, you\xe2\x80\x99re someone who has experience of collaborating with teams of people and is able to be proactive within the responsibilities of this role. In addition, you will be able to rapidly generate, develop and promote interesting content for social media. You will take responsibility for archiving student work throughout the academic year in an appropriate and accessible format. You will be within three years of graduation from a BA(Hons) or Masters\xe2\x80\x99 qualification in relevant discipline, or can demonstrate equivalent recent experience. In addition, creative industry experience and/or evidence of emerging professional practice is welcome.
This role is a training/developmental position and does not involve academic teaching or research.

This post is based at our in Bristol city centre which comprises of Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Watershed and is home to UWE Bristol\'s creative and cultural subjects. Through a combination of University sites and partnerships with creative and cultural organisations in the city, we have developed a network of cultural and creative spaces. These enable our students and staff to develop their professional practice in inspiring learning environments as well as provide opportunities for creative collaboration and networking.
