The Program Manager, Security Technology Delivery will be responsible for the successful delivery of Security driven Projects and programmes within Direct to consumer technology

Supporting Peacock technology roadmap and international expansion. A strategic thinker and pragmatic problem solver, the candidate will lead and partner across a global organization to plan and execute a broad set of portfolio initiatives enabling a best-in-class multi-tenanted platform to be syndicated to multiple international partners,

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in technical program management and digital product or platform delivery. As a primary responsibility they will lead the planning and execution phase of security driven projects, collaborating closely with product, architecture, and engineering leads in all phases of the software development lifecycle, as well as the Technology PMO to ensure that the committed roadmap and pipeline are well articulated, understood and managed against available capacity. Success will require building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships for engagement, establishing robust delivery governance and plans, and capably managing dependencies, risks, and issues to meet overall portfolio and departmental objectives. Also important is the willingness to embrace challenges, adapt to change, and showcase a hands-on approach continuously improving our technology delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

This position will report to the Director, Technology Delivery, and will work in a highly matrixed structure, interfacing with business, product, and engineering teams across NBCU, Sky, and the wider Comcast group. This position will provide guidance and support to a team of project managers and analysts, and will partner closely with consulting teams contributing towards a broader portfolio of strategic platform and international initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and partner with NBCU, Sky and Comcast teams across multiple geo-locations to deliver a portfolio of programs and projects focused on the Tech delivery
  • Act as a first point of escalation for the delivery team and key stakeholders, assisting to unblock and resolve priority delivery issues
  • Provide a streamlined interface between the Global streaming technology team and various Product/Technology partners including Peacock and new Joint ventures ensuring working relationships remain strong,
  • Lead and be responsible for those projects and workstream technology delivery of Programmes/Projects within Peacock Roadmap worth tens of million pounds of investment
  • Lead the planning of complex OTT Programmes and initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams working in close collaboration with delivery teams across product and technology.
  • Be confident leading and chairing workshops with multiple senior, technical, product and business stakeholders and owning communication of the outputs (actions and key points).
  • Be Proficient in creating and managing Programme test plans, resource allocation plans, programme risks and issues, escalating any threats or opportunities to key senior stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Clear and concise stakeholder communications up to exec level
  • Regularly facilitate decision making and deliver high quality presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure that programme deliverables are developed and delivered to production as efficiently as possible.
  • Help build out and manage a highly skilled team of Project Managers and provide them with coaching and career development opportunities.
  • Be proficient in establishing and maintaining change control protocols.
  • Be confident in implementing budgets (finance and resource) for change initiatives, control forecasts and actual costs or resource allocations against the budgets working closely with PMO to track
  • Have expertise and experience in establishing governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governance and delivery of change initiatives, and that align with organisational practice.
  • Show a willingness to go above and beyond, supporting your own Programme delivery and that of your direct reports when needed in order to meet deadlines.
  • Lead continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to support professional development and high performance of a multi-disciplinary, globally distributed delivery team
  • Strive for continuous improvement in ways of working: identify, propose, and implement changes towards increased delivery efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
  • 5+ years program or project management experience in a telecommunications, media, or technology company managing large scale, complex programs of work
  • Strategic and pragmatic with excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to tailor to all levels of an organization
  • Strong self-starter, able to come up to speed quickly and contribute in a diverse set of technical areas, without requiring significant oversight and direction
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and key insights in all communications with senior leadership teams
  • Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate and influence team members from multiple internal departments and external vendors, including those outside of direct purview
  • Pro-active approach to delivery, identifying and neutralizing threats to success; positive approach to addressing conflict
  • Calm under pressure, flexible to changing circumstances and able to make quick and rational decisions and maintain the focus of the team
  • Strong political acumen, able to tailor style and approach to influence teams and individuals to gain the commitment and performance required to deliver on our promises
  • Good working understanding of media technology systems; able to have meaningful discussions with technology experts
  • Ability to take complex technology discussions and break them down for non-technical groups
  • Broad knowledge of program and project management and agile methodologies applied in diverse or hybrid working environments
  • Hands-on experience utilizing industry leading issue tracking and collaboration tools (e.g. Airtable, Jira, Confluence, Slack)
  • Good understanding of the global media landscape, and technology\'s influence

  • Experience developing and motivating teams of PMs/SPMs
  • Educated to Bachelor\'s degree level or equivalent, background in technology or engineering a significant plus; relevant project or program management qualification
Desired Characteristics:
  • Subject matter expertise within telecom, technology streaming or media technology, a considerable plus
  • Digital/OTT experience that includes international expansion, product launches and go-to-market launch planning
  • Demonstrable experience delivering technology change within digital/OTT sector including AVOD, SVOD, TVOD and PVOD
  • Previous experience working with globally delivery teams, a considerable plus
  • MS/BS/MBA strongly preferred
  • A general understanding of OTT and cloud infrastructure and development practices.
  • A general understanding of security tooling , practices and security vulnerabilities in an Agile development environment.
