About the Production Team Leader job

The purpose of your role will be to promote efficiency and good working practices, ensuring the timely and efficient production of goods to agreed product quality, safety, and hygiene standards. You will also be responsible for meeting sales demands and satisfying customer requirements.

Key tasks

• Assist operatives to understand legal compliance within the business in relation to both food safety and health and safety legislative requirements.
• Mentor and develop all new operatives for their team.
• Provide direction, leadership, and guidance on all practices in the department.
• Ensure that all direct reports are aware of their required tasks and delegate where necessary to ensure all requirements of the business are met.
• Manage breaks and absences to ensure the efficient running of their section.
• Ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Be compliant with Health & Safety procedures and all food safety policies.

About You

You should have previous food manufacturing experience, including managing people to a supervisory level. In addition:

• You will have excellent leadership skills, be able to motivate and inspire your team, and have a keen eye for detail.
• You will be able to work under pressure and have excellent problem-solving skills.
• You will also have a strong understanding of production processes and be able to implement best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.

The Production Team Leader job is based in Wigan and is paying \xc2\xa311.66 per hour.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to15:00.
