Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Lead to oversee operations within our Westbury manufacturing facility.

Purpose of the job

Manage Production and maintain Health & Safety. Manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate production. Report to Production Manager and UK General Manager and communicate with other departments - for example engineering, technical and quality for the smooth functioning of the shift.

Responsibilities

Report to the Production Manager on the performance of the shift and carry out instructions given by the Management team. Liaise with Quality/Technical/Engineering Departments to ensure the smooth functioning of the shift. Ensure the maximum efficiency of production and quality of the products. Organise labour for the shift and ensure a high standard of housekeeping at all times. Ensure the highest standard of Health and Safety is maintained and report all accidents, near misses and potential hazards. Daily handover and review of previous and current shift requirements. Informing Management of process issues and system failures for continual improvement. Ensure training records and reviews are up to date with all operators. Provide support and cover on tasks and activities to suit the business needs.

Skills Required

3 years' experience in the Rubber Industry is desirable. Proven experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is essential. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and problem solve. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
