About You



We are seeking a Production Team Leader to join our team and play a critical role in our production process. You will work in all areas of our factory and warehouse and deputise for the Production Manager when required.

You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible about hands on tasks and/or stepping up to supervise our small and busy Production team.

We are looking for someone with great communication skills who can delegate and train effectively, keep production on track, maintain high quality standards and look for new and better ways of working to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities



Cover all Production and Warehouse Operative tasks as needed, including working on production lines, weighing, cooking, filling, labelling, picking and packing and cleaning as required by the business. Full training will be given. Deputise in the Production Managers absence to ensure a small and busy Production team meets customer deadlines and achieves KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Collaborate with colleagues across all teams within Karimix, to ensure that products remain high quality and in line with agreed specifications. Conduct regular spot checks and highlight any concerns with product quality. Support new starters with training and coaching. Ensure Production and Warehouse Operatives are working in line with correct procedures by providing coaching and guidance and escalating any concerns. Ensure all required paperwork is completed in accordance with BRCGS standards and in line with agreed deadlines. Ensure safety protocols and regulations are consistently adhered to. Suggest and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Control and monitor Critical Control Points. Accurately pick, label, and palletise products for customer orders, ensuring secure transit. Use IT systems and paperwork for labelling, batch sheets, sales orders etc. Operate Forklift Trucks safely, if licensed and trained.

Skills and Experience



Relevant experience in a Senior Production Operative or Line Leader role. Knowledge of food safety and quality standards and procedures. Ability to interpret production reports and identify issues. Ability to remain calm and positive whilst working in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal and teamworking skills, able to build effective working relationships. Proficient in multi-tasking and coordinating your own and others workloads to meet deadlines. FLT licence would be advantageous but not essential.

Hourly Rate: Salary:

12.75 per hour

Working Arrangements:

1 day per week, 7am - 5pm, based onsite at Faversham, Kent.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week
