Part of the fast paced Thame facility, Managing the production facility to meet the Operational production schedule whilst maintaining both Quality and Cost standards. Developing staff to excel across multiple roles and contributing to the Lean culture.

Job Context:




Working as part of the UK Operations team to ensure customer orders are facilitated and completed to meet monthly targets and measuring against planned versus actual KPI's. As the Production Shift Manager, you will engage across all business sectors to ensure challenges are addressed and resolved to maintain conformance of finished products. Continuous Personal Development (CPD) is catered for to ensure individual and company needs are met

Job Dimensions:




This is a role based in Thame with standard hours of 14:30 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday and 11:00 - 16:00 on Fridays. These times can be negotiated and amended to suit the individual.

Key Accountabilities



These will include:



Ensure all Personnel adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices. Manage Operational resource on behalf of the Production manager and provide sound cover when Production Manager is not on site. Work and support closely with the Planning team to ensure SIOP planning for areas are managed. Manage to resolution any shopfloor technical or build issues including rework activities. Review the production plan to ensure it is achievable, highlight / Escalate any errors and report on performance at the daily Operations production meeting. Ensure goods are manufactured or configured to meet the Customer Specification Documentation (CSD), Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, quality requirements or concessions are enforced. Raise PR's and Concessions and ensure they are implemented to meet all requirements. Manage shopfloor WIP stock to ensure materials are transacted correctly and support towards continuous improvement and betterment. Create all monthly write-off journals inclusive of weekly PI counts in support of finance. Attend Quality Review meetings and support improvement activities. Conduct investigations from NCR's or Customer complaints and complete improvement activities. Update HR with sickness and absence information. Develop and implement a skills training plan to reduce bottlenecks and provide flexibility, ensure records and the training matrix is up to date. Manage the overtime process and ensure it is correctly approved. Support towards all 6-S Audit activity and actions through to implementation. Support the annual Quality internal audit plan and achieve agreed and targeted audits as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills



Essential:



Good understanding of H&S and practical applications. Microsoft Office proficient; in particular, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Maths and English GCSE (Or equivalent). High level of people management. Understand and interpret engineering drawings. Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt (this can be achieved through internal training / CPD) Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:



ISO 9001 Internal auditor certified. Working knowledge of Teamcenter or other CAD packages. Trained Risk assessor. Level 3 management qualification (CMI or equivalent; CPD can be utilised)
