About The Role

Do you have experience in managing teams in a Production environment? Are you looking for your next step in our Production career?

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our Production Team at our Alconbury site, working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Leading a specific area of our Production on your shift, you will be responsible for line management of colleagues, and ensuring that Production plans are met.

You will also;
Ensure that Health & Safety and Hygiene standards are implemented, adhered to and maintained within the Manufacturing area Ensure systems and understanding are in place for raw material management from stock through to maximising yield and stock utilisation throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure that costs are managed and that production data is recorded and monitored on a daily, weekly and annual basis in order to monitor performance weekly against agreed budgets. Escalation of all repairs, maintenance and servicing of production equipment and site facilities. With the support of the AMFresh HR team take responsibility for managing, developing, motivating and retaining staff in the production teams; recruiting new people, managing holidays, absence management, identifying training and development needs to make sure that the productions teams have the rights skills, managing disciplinary and capability issues. Ensure all technical and legislative requirements are fulfilled during production process including traceability of product and packaging. ###

About You

Experience
Experience of managing a team in a production environment, ideally within the food sector Experience of managing staff including HR requirements, recruitment, performance management and appraisals Experience to working to budgets with accountability for labour costs
