Job Description
R&E Bamford Ltd are looking to recruit for a Plant Production Operator at our site in Midge Hall, Leyland. This is a permanent full time position, 40 hours per week on a Monday-Friday, day shift. 8AM- 5PM
Experience of working in a similar role and environment and operating a forklift truck is an advantage. Own transport is recommended due to the rural location of the site.
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience in same or similar role.
Purpose of Role:
Efficiently operate a feed processing machine to produce products that satisfy and exceed customer requirements of quality and cost, working within a team environmentMain Duties and Responsibilities:
Work to standard operating procedures in line with Company policy
Operate a feed production plant to produce, fill and pack finished feeds ranging from 20-25kg in size and weight.
Work closely with the Quality Control department to ensure conformity of product to customer requirements
Use and read measuring equipment as required. Includes weighing machine and check weighing equipment
Assist in the maintenance of machinery and equipment
Maintain high standards of site house-keeping for you, other employees and visitors
Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to your line manager
Deal with Trade and Retail customers in a professional and courteous manner
Recommend processing improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety
Assist other Team members as necessary
Support the Manufacturing Supervisor with all day to day tasks
