Production Planner

to join our dynamic team and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

About the Role

As a

Production Planner

, you'll take ownership of creating and maintaining production schedules that align with customer demand, operational capabilities, and business goals. This is a critical role within our fast-paced multi-species food manufacturing environment -- helping ensure product availability, reduce waste, and optimise resources.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage daily, weekly, and long-term production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure material and resource availability Adjust plans proactively to meet KPIs and customer expectations Analyse production data to identify trends and efficiency opportunities Maintain accurate planning records and documentation Communicate effectively with internal teams including Sales, Procurement, Maintenance, and Stores Support stock control efforts to minimise overproduction and shortages Contribute to planning-related process improvements

What We're Looking For

Experience in a production planning role -- ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Effective communicator and team collaborator IT proficient, particularly with Excel Analytical, problem-solving mindset Knowledge of food production processes and food safety standards (desirable) Positive, solution-oriented approach

Qualifications

A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Production, or a related field (preferred but not essential) Relevant experience in production planning or scheduling
