Production Operative

Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in the production of custom cabinetry and millwork, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring smooth workflow in the shop. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the assembly and construction of cabinetry components Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and hand tools Sand, finish, and prepare wood surfaces for painting or staining Load and unload materials and finished products Maintain a clean and organized workspace Follow safety protocols and company procedures Support skilled cabinetmakers and installers as needed Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a woodshop or manufacturing environment is an asset Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques preferred Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately Forklift licence (FLT) preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Willingness to learn and take direction
Work Environment:
Indoor shop environment with exposure to wood dust, noise, and machinery Fast-paced setting with varying workloads depending on production needs Use of PPE (e.g., safety glasses, ear protection) required
Working hours:
06.00am to 14.30pm, Monday to Friday; total 40 hours per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
