Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative based in Corby, Northamptonshire. The main purpose of this role is to support the site milling team to achieve production requirements including a high standard of health & safety, food safety, high quality (to include minimal waste) and cost control. The longer-term purpose is to gain the skills to be able to progress into a the role in the milling team.
Your
ResponsibilitiesWorking safely at all times with particular focus on adhering to ADM life critical standards
Carefully following procedures that help to ensure high standards of food safety and product quality
Ensuring production requirements of 'manually added' ingredients are prepared and produced in line with production requirements. This includes handling, weighing and tipping of raw materials.
Completion of cleaning and hygiene requirements as per the allocated schedule.
Maintain a high focus on any site KPI targets relevant to the job (e.g. - Food safety complaints, maximise throughput & minimise downtime, waste/rework etc...)
Laboratory testing of wheat and flour samples to ensure high quality standards
Effective communication with all departments to ensure efficient operations
Maintain accurate production records and completion of all relevant paperwork
Completion of any identified training and an expectation that development programmes such as the 7 Flour Millers exams, will be taken.
Assistance to the milling team/warehouse team when not tipping manually added products.
Provide shift cover for site operative team during periods of sickness or absence which may include night and weekend shifts.
Positively engage in the site Health, Safety and environment culture, reporting any deficiencies in these areas.
Your Profile
Good I.T skills (Microsoft applications)
Problem solving skills
Good time management
Mechanical aptitude
Previous experience within the food or manufacturing industry
GCSE's (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics and Science at a minimum grade 'C' or above
