, you oversee, coordinate and lead a production line, Team Leads and its employees, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, prepare and implement production schedules, resolve quality issues and oversee improvements.
The Caterpillar Building Construction Products' fabrication facility at Stockton uses the latest technology to laser cut, weld and machine all the major structures for use at the assembly plant at Leicester.
What you will do:
As a
Production Manager
, your accountable for, but not limited to:
The safety of the Team, across all shifts, in all areas of manufacturing is your number one priority and responsibility. Reporting and resolving Safety issues and Near Misses is our top tier metric.
Creating and monitoring reports and records of production goals, performance issues, and inventory; sharing them with managers and providing timely suggestions for improvements to safety, quality and productivity.
Preparing, maintaining, and updating documentation related to operating procedures, safety and quality standards; ensuring all meet desired safety and quality requirements.
Guiding a group of Team Leaders and well as production lines workers, managing their shift schedules, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance. Providing training, development and coaching to new and existing employees.
Promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You Can Demonstrate:
Manufacturing Safety& Operations
: Strong skill to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards to protect workers, the environment, and the site. Skilled in facilitating cross-department communication to maintain smooth workflows and supervising daily operations to achieve production targets. Proficient in Microsoft Office for operational coordination and reporting.
People:
Lead, motivate, evaluate, and recognise employees. Understanding the skills and experience of the team to highlight gaps and/or training/development needs.
Quality Management:
Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
Process Improvement:
Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
What You May Have:
IOSH Safety Management Certification or equivalent.
Experience gained in a Fabrication and/or Manufacturing environment with a demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and methodical implementation of solutions when required.
Previous experience leading multi-disciplined Teams of people across multiple shifts monitoring various data sets to achieve metrics around Safety, People, Quality, Velocity and Cost.
Strategic planning experience with an ability to react to changing priorities using limited data to execute the right results safely and with the desired product quality.
Evaluate production methods and maintain focus, gathering information utilising the team's input, promoting the continuous improvement of safety, processes and products.
