Part of the Culina Group, IPS are the UK market leader in Contract Packing solutions. IPS provide the most extensive pool of Contract Packing equipment and expertise available in the UK. We are now widely integrated and embedded within operations right across the Culina Group network.



Due to continued growth, we have a brand new IPS site in Lutterworth where we require an experienced and proactive Production Manager to manage the co-pack operation. Within this role, you will be responsible to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You should be a role model for best practice at all times and through innovation deliver cost savings and provide support to the site.

Shifts: Monday-Friday; 8:30-17.00

Key responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

• Acting as the primary point of contact with the customer and building an effective partnership.
• Effectively maximising production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis, whilst ensuring the final product meets client specifications.
• Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets and assisting in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
• Ensuring all paperwork and warehouse management systems are completed accurately in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensuring that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
• Attending Line Leader meetings and relevant training courses, as and when required.
• Assisting in the identification and development of Line Leaders to promote success planning, and supporting with the training and development of new starters.
• Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste whilst playing an active part in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience of working successfully within a FMCG Manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
• Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
• A commitment to respond to changing customer needs, with the ability to work towards targets.
• Ability to develop best practice and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of performance in order to achieve service objectives.
