Production Line Leader / Machine Operator
Job Description
Here at Ripe Now we are as passionate about our people as we are about fresh produce! Due to continued company growth we are currently looking to recruit a Production Line Leader / Machine Operator for our busy Fresh Produce packing facility in Kirton.
The role will involve:
Overseeing the smooth running of assigned production line, organising a continuous flow within this area.
Oversee the operatives within the assigned area.
Maintain standards of cleanliness & hygiene.
Meet targets & objectives set by the management team.
Promote health & safety.
Understanding of policies and procedures and to make sure they are being adhered to.
Maintaining factory procedures and standards to BRC requirement.
Maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices.
Team work with own team as well as other teams within the business.
Flexibility of working hours when required
The Role
You will manage a small team of operatives along the production line, they will report directly into you, and you will be responsible for their performance. You will look after food safety and hygiene and monitor the KPIs of your team, regularly checking in with your line manager.
You must have machine operator knowledge or be very keen to learn new skills. Our machinery is user friendly.
About you
You will have experience managing a small team within an FMCG or Food environment. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for people management. You will be ambitious, looking to further your career and imbed yourself within the business.
