The successful applicant will work within the department that is responsible for all current model, new product introduction, engineering, and continuous improvement activities within the plant.
You will be part of a team of engineers collaborating across functions, from Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and maintenance.
Driving actions with cross functional teams to improve all KPIs for the plant, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction objectives are achieved.
Participation in the Daily Start-up/Accountability meeting as required2,
Working with NPI Project engineers to implement new products to existing and new production lines.
Manage and present data to various levels of the organisation.
Supporting manual and automated welding equipment following British standards.
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
A background in a Mechanical/ Electrical engineering discipline is required and the relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Educated to degree level or HNC with relevant industrial experience in welding processes and production engineering.
A proven track record of welding process engineering, Stainless steel welding, MIG/TIG welding experience.
Knowledge of Manual and automated welding and of Post welding treatment.
Experience of automated assembly management systems and production IT systems.
A proven track record as a process / manufacturing engineer delivering significant value to an organisation and having a sense of urgency to deliver to your internal customers solutions on time and to requirement.
Ability to work effectively and communicate with cross-functional teams and being a key team player is essential to this role.
Possess a practical approach to problem solving using A3 / 8D problem solving methodology, analytical with experience of robust data driven decisions.
