Purpose of the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join our growing PCBA Engineering team as a Production Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing production processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards, whilst introducing New Product (NPI), Projects and Product via adequate engineering processes.

As a Production Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for providing technical support to our production and engineering teams, whilst implementing continuous improvement strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Primary duties and responsibilities

Support introduction of new products (NPI) into the business, utilising knowledge, and experience in PCBA manufacturing. Interpret a wide variety of customer provided data, determine build process, and provide supporting documentation for manufacturing. Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner. Diagnose problems in production, offer technical solutions and provide recommendations and training. Collate data for departmental and business KPIs. Liaising with other internal departments and engineers to develop plans that improve production, reduce costs, increase efficiencies.

The ideal person will demonstrate the following:

Ideally 5 years experience working in a production engineering role or similar position within a relevant manufacturing environment A formal qualification in an engineering discipline, electronics is preferred The ability to technically support customers and production with manufacturing queries Able to provide customer feedback from any witnessed build issues, with a view to improving quality and efficiencies A collaborative team-player while also being self-motivated to drive projects forward Proficient Computer Literacy skills with the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
