Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.



The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the

in their highly complex market!

Vacancy Details



We are looking for a skilled Production Chargehand to take ownership of a designated production area within our factory. In this role, you'll ensure that all work is completed smoothly and efficiently, and daily targets are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll coordinate team activities, oversee materials, and maintain high standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.



Key Responsibilities:


Visually inspect work before progressing materials to the next stage To be responsible for their own work targets and follow instructions given on drawings. To ensure the team are working efficiently. To report any issues with materials or team to the Team Leader or Production Manager. Monitor the work area to ensure health and safety standards are upheld, promoting a safe and hazard-free environment for all team members. Provide training and guidance to team members on new tasks and procedures, ensuring that standards and expectations are clearly communicated. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements, sharing feedback, and implementing changes as needed.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently while effectively monitoring and supervising teams to ensure targets are achieved. They will be skilled in organizing tasks based on individual skill sets, as well as managing their own workload to meet deadlines. A strong understanding of fabrication drawings, with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately, is essential for success in this role.



Applicants must have experience as a coded welder, with specific expertise in working with structural steeL
