Production Assistant We are looking for a highly motivated Production Assistant to join our team based in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside. You will be working in a busy, but rewarding role working in a complex textile manufacturing environment under the supervision of the Departmental Team Leader and Departmental Manager Experience of managing people or working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential. BRIEF OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the Departmental Team Leader & Manager
• Distribute work throughout the department
• Transport and move work between departments
• Responsible for ensuring that work flows efficiently through the department in line with the departmental production plans
• Motivate and support the team
• To ensure that the highest possible quality results.
• Responsibility for ensuring effective housekeeping
• To ensure compliance with health and safety and other company policies
• To liaise with and effectively communicate with other internal departments as required and at all levels of the organisation
• Scanning of work sheets to ensure production reports are correct and up to date.
• Provide effective problem solving where necessary and identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Highly motivated Proven supervisory experience and relevant supervisory training/qualification Textile industry knowledge an advantage but not essential. Skill with Excel and other Microsoft related products. Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to work as a team and have a flexible approach to their work.
