Title: Product Support Engineer

TXM Recruit have fantastic opportunity for a Product Support Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis. The role will be mainly mechanically biased engineering, working on large vehicle warranty defects and compiling reports of works completed. This role would suit anyone with diesel engine experience - fault finding, diagnostics, warranty inspection, strip-outs, investigating etc. This role also requires someones who is level 3 trained in this.

What the role entails:

• Field based operations visiting various depots around the North West of England
• Working on various warranty issues, stripping down, repairing, investigating and reporting on the systems you\'re called out to.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and customers to get the right resolution for both parties
• Using knowledge of mechanical engineering to close out claims as soon as possible

The individual:

• Will ideally have a minimum of 3-4 years mechanical experience working on large vehicles and their components
• Hold an NVQ Level 3 in some form of mechanical discipline
• Have a full clean driving license
• Engine fault finding experience would be very desirable

How this role operates:-

Our client distribute work to their PSE engineers - You would report to the relevant depot, asses the job, investigate, repair and fix where possible. Investigating whether warranty has been breached. This includes document control of work carried out / faults found.

You will have a company van and fuel card for travel, and expenses card for staying overnight(s) on jobs.

All work is based in the North West

Contracted to Monday - Friday 45 hours - OT paid at flat rate

Bi Wekly weekend stand by cover - \xc2\xa375 a day whilst on standby. 3 hours on the clock paid at base hourly rate (\xc2\xa317.84 per hour)

Customer depots could include the likes of - Transport for Wales / caf / Alstom / hitachi

Our client typically give 12 month warranty on the engines - Typical job duties would be assessing the team set up at each site - engine diagnostics- standard services

Investigating whether its a client warranty failure or customer issue - have customer breached warranty?

First 4 weeks based in burton - looking at the engines - hotel for the time you are down there.

Start dates for this role are imminent, industries we would like to see applicants from for example would be rolling stock, Armed Forces, HGV/LGV, PSV, Marine etc.
