- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree required in scientific, engineering, technical, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Softlines and/or Hardlines manufacturing or retail environment with focus on product safety and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated experience in compliance testing and labeling knowledge of Softlines and/or Hardlines product types for NA and EU markets
- Proven track record working with international consumer product standards, regulations, and certification requirements
- Experience working in a multi-national company within an international team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey complex compliance requirements to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Project management experience with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

The position can be located in London.
We are hiring for 2 roles - Risk Manager and Product Safety Compliance Manager
Key job responsibilities
o Work with internal Private Brands stakeholders and business teams across the company to develop innovative solutions to pre-defined safety and compliance requirements using high-level process/system solutions.
o Collaborate with the Regulatory Intelligence team to complete impact assessments for new, emerging, and changing product regulatory requirements.
o Propose updates and improvements to requirements leads to develop and maintain safety and compliance protocols.
o Execute high judgment decision making for product development-related escalations and product safety investigations.
o Drive continuous improvement of supplier performance linked to safety and compliance.
o Provide guidance to business and legal teams on product safety and compliance complexities.
o Support post-market incident management together with our audit team.
About the team
The Operational Excellence Compliance Team supports and implements compliance requirements with the responsibility to enable safe and compliant products for our Private Brands business. The Product Safety Compliance Manager will drive the implementation and continuous improvement of safety and compliance procedures for both Softlines (including apparel, non-apparel accessories, footwear, jewelry, children's sleepwear) and Hardlines (including home textiles, toys, furniture, kitchenware, tools, and other household goods). The candidate will support the implementation of compliance requirements, manage escalations from senior stakeholders, and build optimized processes and innovative scalable solutions, whilst maintaining high standards for worldwide compliance.
Master's Degree in Consumer Textiles, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent field
Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodology
Experience creating and implementing sustainable compliance processes and controls
Expert knowledge of NA, EU, and LATAM labeling and packaging requirements for Softlines and/or Hardlines
Comprehensive understanding of global product safety regulations including:
Consumer Product Safety and Improvement Act (CPSIA)
Proposition 65
Restricted Substance List (RSL)
Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
Experience with children's products regulations and food contact product requirements
Experience working with international product regulatory bodies and standardization organizations (e.g., Middle East-GSO, Australia-ACCC, Japan-JISC)
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with proven ability to lead complex initiatives
Experience managing and resolving escalations from senior stakeholders o Experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks
Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across multiple organizational levels
Track record of driving continuous improvement in supplier performance related to safety and compliance
