WHAT TO EXPECT
An opportunity to be an active member of the JLR Base Engines "Design and Release" team for all Gasoline and Diesel internal combustion engines, designed in the UK for global manufacture into worldwide markets.
The Cooling System Product Owner is responsible for leading engineering activities for designing and releasing engine cooling system and related systems and components.
Engine cooling systems team is responsible for the design and release of the following components/systems: Coolant pump, coolant pipes, thermostat and EGR.
The role demands technical and commercial leadership combined with a versatile approach to changing circumstances within programmes and an ability to be able to manage conflicting priorities between programmes in a positive and proactive manner.
Delivering on plan with clear direction, demonstrating a clear appreciation of attributes and programme deliverables on quality, cost, weight, and function are critical aspects of the design and release project engineer role.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
You will be managing product development processes and deliver according to Component Creation and Delivery System (CCDS) on cooling system and its components this is to lead and coordinate cross functional CCDS team including purchasing, design, validation, supplier technical assistance (STA), supplier and manufacturing to ensure all APQP deliverables are fulfilled with agreed status by the CCDS team. JLR is looking for someone with Systems Engineering experience or Cooling system lead engineer.
