(This is a hybrid role, and it requires travel to our Cardiff office once a week)


As a Product Owner you will work alongside the Product Leads and Senior Product Owners, supporting the implementation and measurement of continuous change, aligned to the Product Vision and Key Results (OKR's). These OKR's feed into the overarching EUI Targets which align to the company strategy.


Aligned to our key objectives you will work closely with key stakeholders to gather, analyse, prioritise, record in detail, and communicate requirements for change. Working closely with IT, you'll help ensure quality of delivery, measure performance and communicate progress. When the change has been made available to our customers, you will monitor the performance and the impact on the objectives.


Main duties


Coordinate and communicate the prioritisation of the squad sprint backlog. Understand & communicate the vision and value of work assigned to the Squad. Ensuring the change roadmap is prioritised based on customer feedback, sound business value and data driven insight. Master the data - Analysis and communication of MI, using various analytics tools and internal MI data, tracking performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement. Feed ideas, opportunities, challenges, and risks into the Product Lead to help shape the current and future strategy. Understands the Level 2 OKR's for the ART and has the ability to create a backlog to help achieve these. Defines Level 3 OKR's for the Planning Interval aligned to the Prioritisation of the ART. Gathering, writing, and communicating to IT, requirements for change. Working closely with the IT development team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of new functionality. Primary contact for stakeholders during build. Communicating progress and managing expectations. Conducting show and tells and gaining delivery approval. Working closely with our designers to transform new ideas from sketches to prototypes. An active member of the Product Community of practice.

Experience and qualifications required.

Essential skills


Strong customer focus. Good interpersonal skills and effective communication to all levels. Ability to build good working relationship within the squad and the ART and its stakeholders. Understanding of our current customer journeys and how to improve these with the customer at the forefront of any change. Understand compliance elements that need to be considered to ensure that our customers receive good outcomes. Understand Agile ways of working and practices. Comfortable analysing and interpreting data with an ability to use this to solve problems. Is able to input on business cases and help to monitor the success of these post release of new change. Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Desirable:


Experience of working within agile teams. Experience of analysing and refining processes and functions. Experience of working within and Agile development structure. Experience of using Jira to write user stories and manage sprint priorities.
