The Role: Product Manager, Sustainability in Agriculture & Crop Science

The team: An exciting opportunity has opened up for a high-performing Product Manager to join the Agribusiness team, part of the Commodity Insights division of S&P Global. We specialize in unrivalled expertise from farm to fork, delivering the latest market news, supply/demand, price data and forecasts, expert analysis and bespoke consulting across the whole food value chain that helps our clients to see the bigger picture and act upon it.
The impact: The Product Manager will help drive the success of a portfolio of mature and new B2B information products and services within the sustainability in agriculture and crop science areas, meeting clients and market participants, understanding market trends to identify and deliver high growth opportunities.
You will work with the wider product management team and collaborate with our research & analysis, sales, technology, marketing and customer care teams to determine which market problems we are best positioned to solve. You will contribute to product strategy across your areas of the portfolio, business plans, product roadmaps, user personas, market requirements and use scenarios that lead to growth in current and new market segments.

Responsibilities:
Market Problems, Market Definition, Competitive Landscape: Research customer needs in a data-driven way and translate feedback into actionable insight ensuring product development continually improve. Serve as the voice of the market across the business.
Product Strategy & Roadmap: Provide considered and evidenced-based input to our portfolio strategies by developing a deep understanding of agribusiness market trends, needs of prospective and current customers, as well as how customers use the current products and competitor products.
Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, evaluate alternatives and formulate responses to resolve business and customer problems.
Product requirements: Translate market knowledge into user personas and product positioning statements which serve as the blueprint for both plans to improve go-to-market activities and input into the product roadmap. Manage multiple external and internal stakeholder groups to achieve the business critical goals
Innovation: Solves industry challenges by applying leading-edge technologies and new approaches to solve the most difficult market problems and create transformational solutions for the industry.
What We\'re Looking For:
Well organized, structured, logical thinker who loves problem-solving.
Experience in working in a fast-paced B2B environment and subscription business, balancing the needs of the customer with the resources available
Ideally previous exposure to product management experience, capabilities and understanding/interest for food and agriculture
Ability to present analytical projects, feedback to a non-analytical and varied audience for business decisions
Has experience in developing/testing new workflows and/or tech products
Team player who brings a sense of positive energy and the ability to influence, inspire and motivate cross-functional partners across the organization
Passion for customer driven insights and interactions, letting client feedback source market problems and new product direction
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and influence product/engineering service owners

Project management skills: you will understand when a sense of urgency is required, you will be comfortable with scheduling and planning, and you can efficiently and effectively guide a group towards a goal.

Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve shared commercial goals

Occasional in-region and international travel is required
