Role Summary



Specifically focusing on our diverse product range that includes, Tablets, Capsules, Gummies, Softgels, and Powder Blends, our team of

Product Development Scientists

play a crucial role in our realisation of being the global leader in the vitamin, mineral, and supplement innovation.

Maximising our potential to shape the future of nutraceuticals with market leading Innovation, the successful candidate will work collaboratively in researching, developing, and optimising the manufacturing processes for current and future nutraceutical products; this includes formulating new products, scaling up production, and validating processes to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities



Formulation and Product Development:

Developing new nutraceutical formulations, considering ingredients, dosages, and delivery systems.

Process Optimisation:

Improve existing manufacturing processes, including raw material selection, equipment modifications, and process parameters.

Process Validation:

Conduct trials and experiments to validate new processes and ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards with the ability to translate laboratory-scale processes into large-scale manufacturing.

Quality Control:

Develop and implement quality control measures to monitor and maintain product quality throughout the development and full-scale manufacturing process.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records and technical reports of experiments, process development, and quality control data.

Collaboration:

Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing, to ensure product development aligns with business objectives.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and solve problems that arise during the product development and manufacturing process.

Innovation:

Generate new ideas for product improvements and advancements in manufacturing processes.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines for nutraceutical products.
The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to both internal and external stakeholders, own a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and communication abilities to enable effective contribution to the design, development, and testing of new products. In essence, can navigate the complexities of the product development process with a collaborative spirit that contributes effectively to the creation of innovative and successful products.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications



The role of

Product Development Scientist

is multifaceted and requires both industry-specific qualifications and technical abilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Formal Education:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field, such as biochemistry, food science, horticultural, applied life sciences, or pharmacy.

Experience



Experience in nutraceutical product development, formulation, or manufacturing is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of relevant scientific principles, materials, and processes is essential for designing and developing products that meet specific requirements.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyse data, interpret results, and draw conclusions is crucial for identifying issues and developing solutions.

Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both scientific and non-scientific stakeholders.
