You go into a supermarket and pick up a new variety of vegetable. The pride you feel is huge, as you were the one that helped this get from a concept to getting onto the shelves.
You\'re the one supporting feeding the nation.
This is a newly created role within a global seed company that pride themselves in quality, reliability, and service.
The role will see you working closely with another product developer who has been there for 5 years and the product manager who has been there for 18 years, meaning that there\'s a wealth of knowledge available to make sure you succeed.
You will be actively participating in defining the product portfolio and development of these crops.
You\'ll be running small scale inhouse trials, but also be out visiting growers on farm to help them plan, organise, and carry out trials of new varieties. This role is a great mix of in house working and relationship building with some of the UKs largest growers.
Whilst out and about, you\'ll be there to provide technical support to growers on crop management, positioning and more.
As well as being out in the field, you\'ll also spend some time in the office presenting results to internal stakeholders to work out the best ways to move forward.
You\'ll have already spent a couple of years working in the agricultural or horticultural space and have experience in crop production, but you\'re itching to do more.
This role will see you travelling, in the office, working out in fields and under glass so being happy with variety is essential.
As with any role, communication is key as you\'ll be working with both internal and external stakeholders.
