Salary: \xc2\xa320,000 (pro rata)

Hybrid working pattern:

The majority of your work will be conducted on site; a positive result of which is that our office remains a social and collaborative working environment. Nevertheless, there can be opportunities for home working dependent on task requirements.

The Opportunity:

Purchasing opportunities don\xe2\x80\x99t come more varied than at MBDA! As prime contractor to the UK MoD and an employer of over 5000 in the UK alone, we source a staggering and varied range of products, goods and services!

Within MBDA we have two procurement departments who are responsible for the partnership and collaboration with over 3000 UK and international suppliers. These suppliers enable us to provide world leading defence capabilities for our home nations and their allies, so effective management of these relationships is imperative.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll join either the Industrial Procurement and Supply Chain (ISP) or Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) function on this programme, where regardless of which area you\xe2\x80\x99ll get real insight into Procurement within MBDA. We\xe2\x80\x99ll work with you during the recruitment process to see which of the functions your skills and aspirations best align to.

ISP work on Direct and Indirect procurement as well as Supply Chain Management so you\xe2\x80\x99ll be involved in bringing in essential product parts and test equipment into the business as well as consulting services or telecoms that allow the whole business to operate.

MEP manage commercial and business relationships with both UK and overseas companies, providing subsystems, systems, studies and customer support. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be looking at Risk Management, working on supplier strategies that offer value for money as well as building and nurturing key customer or partner relationships. Subcontract management is an important task in this role and you\xe2\x80\x99ll get the opportunity to see how to draft and amend terms and conditions as well as negotiate and manage terms for many key relationships MBDA has.

Currently studying for a degree in a Business and Management or any relevant discipline
