A Procurement Specialist is required to work for a Government Regulatory Agency within the Commercial team to assist with driving value of money, reducing risk and improving commercial capability.
Job Role
As the Procurement Specialist, you will:
Work with the Commercial Manager to assist the purchase of a large number of Capital items - Building Refurbishments and Scientific Equipment.
Run tenders - to include some high value and complex requirements.
Drafting SLAs, managing the Supplier Relationship.
Ensure all procurements are compliant and demonstrate value for money.
Using Atamis for all RfQs, tenders and contract administration.
Required Skills and Experience
You will have excellent understanding of core financial and procurement principles and have experience of dealing with sometimes complex policies.
Experience of Public Sector Recruitment ideally or extensive procurement of Capital Equipment and Refurbishment services ideally from a Scientific or Facilities Management background.
Working knowledge of Atamis or similar
Experience of purchasing high value items
Successful and proven negotiation skills that can demonstrate sustainable cost savings.
This role will offer Hybrid working with a requirement to attend the office for at least one day a week - based in Potters Bar.
This role is expected to be available for approximately 12 months.
