Reports To: Procurement Framework Director

Based: Newland House, Normanton

Hours of Work - Full time in a permanent position

Role Specification

The role is based in Normanton, the northern hub for evo. This is the main site for VOW, Banner, and some of the central services. The Procurement Framework team are expected to be based there along with most of our internal sales teams. However, the employee will be required to travel to other Group locations to work alongside colleagues and for external meetings as appropriate. This is a hybrid role and is office based 3 days per week.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Role Objective

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Framework Director to deliver a new supplier framework within the Group for non-stocked product categories. This will be initially focused on Furniture and Workwear; however, this will extend to other product areas. The framework will ensure the evo Group has access to appropriate suppliers to fulfill everyday, tender, and bespoke sales opportunities. They will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Framework Director, engaging the supplier base in the concept, sourcing, evaluating, shortlisting and negotiating to build & develop the Framework. Engaging with Sales team teams (especially category specialists) to maximise the benefit of the framework & utilise approved compliant suppliers:

  • Work closely with the Procurement Framework Director, additionally where required the Product Management Director, and Complete Purchasing Director to develop successful Group Buying strategies.
  • Work specifically with the Product Management team on appropriate commercial and supply solutions for products and services to the Group.
  • Work specifically with the Complete Purchasing team on the successful implementation of frameworks within Complete.
  • Understand the wider market, competitors, suppliers & market dynamics, have the ability to highlight & map new categories to applicable sales channels.
  • Recognise ajoining services which can be utilised, work with internal departments to adapt our processing capabilities in order to take advantage & capitalise on these.
  • Identification & development of long-term suppliers for existing and new product requirements in accordance with the business strategy.
  • Work with suppliers to assess the EVO range in comparison to other competitors. Liaise with suppliers to assess potential new categories, sub categories & relevant products for EVO Group.
  • Evaluates & recommends new suppliers, presenting them for pre-approval to the business, include all key commercials & reasoning.
  • Ensure due diligence is performed on all new suppliers in accordance with Responsible Procurement policy.
  • Assist in the shortlisting & prioritisation of suppliers for onboarding & access.
  • Sourcing and negotiating competitive terms & pricing for the EVO Group.
  • Carry out all activities to onboard new suppliers to the EVO group, being the point of liaison for all contact.
  • Manage suppliers, understand lifecycle of existing ones, including their status covering compliance, ability, product portfolio, assess performance & make change recommendations.
  • Ensure the vendor portal information is maintained, consistent and accurate.
  • Manage all aspects of communication regarding these suppliers, both internally & externally ensuring communication with key departments such as finance, sales and marketing.
  • Build relationships and rapport with key personnel, interfacing at different levels with key supplier contacts and internal contacts within Banner/VOW and across the wider evo group.
