What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Head of Enablement, we are looking for someone to join the team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract, to support the operations of the enablement area for the Group Procurement function within Finance. This role is pivotal, building trust with our stakeholders, enabling the buying process and treating all as partners. The key to achieving this goal is maintaining transparent and efficient procurement processes, ensuring compliance with governance policies, and coordinating effectively within the team. This role is critical, ensuring adherence to procurement practices, fostering stakeholder and supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
Process Performance, Governance and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and enforce relevant procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant processes and governance standards.
  • Strive for operational efficiency and effectiveness whilst ensuring the appropriate levels of internal / external governance are integrated into all procurement operations.
  • Identify areas and provide feedback for process improvements, opportunities to enhance governance and controls and risk mitigation within the procurement function.
Data Management, Systems and Technology Integration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of new procurement tools and platforms, supporting digital transformation within procurement.
  • Maintain and publish a database of approved suppliers by spend category.
  • Maintain a central contract repository for all active contracts and agreements.
  • Carry out data gathering for reporting of performance against KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and other metrics.
Supplier Governance, Risk & Relationship Management
  • Carry out supplier governance and risk management checks throughout the complete life cycle of supplier contracts, including vendor on-boarding, in-life contract management, contract renewals, contract terminations and partner exits.
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance by collating and publishing KPI data and reporting and flagging any governance and supply chain risks as they occur.
  • Support wider compliance initiatives and risk management activities.
  • Conduct regular supplier record reviews to monitor compliance with internal governance and controls, identifying and addressing any out-of-date documents, potential risks or issues.
Team Development
  • Provide regular updates to line management on active requests and enquiries, ensuring tasking is spread evenly and fairly across the team.
  • Take accountability for delivery against personal and team objectives, ensuring they are in alignment with wider company goals, values, and objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the focal point in the business for all new enquiries for buying and supplier on-boarding activities, signposting to the correct internal teams as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships cross-functionally with all stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide process support and guidance.
  • Communicate relevant procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant processes and governance standards by stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with other procurement teams to ensure alignment of buying activities with broader departmental goals, values and objectives.
  • Pro-actively manage stakeholder expectations during buying activities.
  • Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to the execution of procurement strategies within the business.

About you:
We are looking for someone who is analytical, methodical and curious, with the drive to understand the bigger picture. Excellent attention to detail is required, together with a process orientated mindset. Experience within procurement or finance would be advantageous, ideally within telecommunications. Excellent communication skills are required, with a collaborative approach, able to challenge business stakeholders and develop strong relationships.
