We're looking for a dynamic

Procurement Coordinator

to help drive operational excellence. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for ensuring timely procurement of goods and materials, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and providing critical support to inventory management and reporting activities. Key Responsibilities:



Perform all activities in full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, and in line with company policies and procedures. Report any unsafe acts or conditions using the Near Miss System, as required by the Health and Safety at Work Act. Ensure full adherence to Supply Chain Policy governance and the Chemring Operations Framework. Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure the timely delivery of goods and materials. Proactively communicate with vendors to obtain accurate, up-to-date information on order statuses. Drive best practices with external suppliers to quickly resolve any issues affecting order fulfilment. Highlight potential supply chain risks and communicate proactively with the Procurement team. Maintain accurate system records for all procurement activities, including order confirmations and delivery updates. Act as the governance lead for indirect Epicor requisitions, liaising proactively with internal and external stakeholders. Lead purchase order performance metrics, ensuring timely vendor order confirmations and managing late deliveries. Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to support operational efficiency. Act as the point of contact for onsite vehicle repairs. Support inventory management processes and maintain accurate stock records. Prioritise and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic environment. Provide administrative support within the overall Supply Chain function, covering Planning, Stores/Inventory, and Operations as required. Undertake additional activities and projects as directed by the Line Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:



Proven experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing Procurement environment. Strong time management and organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience using ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing setting. Strong internal and external communication skills.

Desirable:



Commercial and financial awareness. Product and industry knowledge. Understanding of market costs and pricing structures. Inventory management awareness.
