A leading FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Process Development Technologist / Process NPD Technologist to join their Technical team. This Process Development Technologist will be responsible for planning, driving and delivering process and continuous improvement initiatives across the site manufacturing processes. This Process Development Technologist will manage the evaluation and measurement of process improvement initiatives, including optimising product recipes, to drive yield improvements and leverages knowledge, systems and regulations to effectively oversee and manage the implementation of NPD and EPD projects.
Process Technologist Responsibilities include:
Create and collaborate in the delivery of a site CI program across all functions
Review, update and manage ongoing governance of site CIP\xe2\x80\x99s
Product Loss Management
Product and Equipment Testing
Drive and Implementation of NPD and / or EPD projects at site
System in place to track process variability to minimise within measurement tolerances.
Leads the process control initiative on site and reports on progress.
Carrying out testing and measurement on products and equipment to ensure product consistency is maintained, yields are maximised and variability is minimised
Carrying out energy investigations across steam, electricity, chilled water and compressed air.
Verco carbon desktop \xe2\x80\x98areas of opportunity\xe2\x80\x99 identified, and actions tested and implemented.
Using the carbon desktop system to diagnose trends and create investigations and theories and actions to reduce energy use
Management and communication of product recipes. Systemised tracking and implementation of all changed.
Manage and report on activities pertaining to yield improvement.
Optimize site yield and achieve budgeted targets.
Be key player in ensuring product yield is optimised
You will ideally be degree qualified / equivalent within a Food Science, Science discipline with experience delivering as a Process Technologist within a food manufacturing environment.
A broad knowledge of processes within Food Manufacturing will be required for this role as well an analytical mind, able to interrogate, drill down and identify key actions, apply Route Cause Analysis as well as strong influencing skills to persuade and negotiate your ideas for improvement through both the leadership team and colleagues on the factory floor
