Job Description
Are you passionate about helping students succeed and grow in their studies? Do you have a strong ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable way? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor to provide Maths and Science tuition up to GCSE level, with the potential to teach English as well.
This Role will begin in September and is a fixed 16 hour contract term time only. There is high chance for work during holidays if required and the position may begin earlier.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality tutoring in Maths and Science up to GCSE level.
Create a supportive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment for students.
Adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs, ensuring clear and effective explanations.
Offer some English tuition if desired and depending on your expertise.
Commit to regular tutoring sessions. Daytime and Evenings. Monday to Friday
Opportunity for additional daytime sessions and holiday tutoring based on demand.
Maintain consistent attendance and fulfil scheduled sessions.
Requirements:
Strong subject knowledge in Maths and Science, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a positive, patient, and encouraging manner.
A commitment to the role and fulfilling set tutoring hours.
Experience with GCSE tutoring or working with school-aged students is preferred but not essential.
Applicants must be reliable, professional, and able to plan and deliver sessions that meet the needs of each student.
