You will support in the resolution of customer side leakage / private leakage cases. As a private leakage inspector, you will work to identify customer leakage and support management through to resolution. You will have the tools and equipment to provide accurate leak location identification, and promote a solution where possible.
You will provide excellent customer service, ensuring expectation is managed, whilst always working to support.
What you'll be responsible for: Manage private leakage cases from identification through to resolution, supporting the customer through the journey.
Always work to develop a solution to resolving the customer leak.
Ensuring all on site activity is captured in a compliant and accurate manner in our corporate system in order for further analysis within the business.
Generating work orders accurately for delivery by our supply chain.
Enforcing basic water regulations through communication with customer and liaison with water regulations department to ensure DWI and Water Act 1991 requirements are met. Investigate, identify and escalate water quality issues to ensure that public health is protected at all times.
Liaise with customers to ensure we manage expectation and support through the leakage process.
Managing a scheduled workload as appropriate based on the job's importance and urgency whilst working on a mobile basis out in the field. The workload should be completed to a high quality, and meet timescales whilst also ensuring effective escalation as required.
Understanding and implementing leakage techniques or principles and able to detect leakage on the network or customer supply pipes when required, ensuring effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders to deliver leakage targets and ensure efficiency.

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
5 GCSE's or experience in water distribution networks
Current, full valid UK driving licence.
Good Interpersonal Skills e.g. building a rapport, listening effectively to others
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Prioritisation skills & ability to manage own time and workload.
Good communication skills e.g. clear and concise
Ability to learn & use I.T and software including Microsoft Office packages.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver work to a high standard with good attention to detail.
Demonstrable experience in delivering great customer service.
Experience in the identification of private leakage, and experience in raising follow on work.
Proactive, with good problem solving skills.
Good to know
The successful candidate will be required to participate in a standby rota.
A full UK drivers licence is required.
A company vehicle will be provided.
This role will cover the South West region.
