Established in 2014, we have developed state of the art technology which allows us to offer exceptional legal services across Residential Conveyancing, New Build, Family & Private Client whilst also providing that all-important high-street service to our local communities.

Following the growth of our business we are now looking to recruit experienced and qualified Private Client Lawyer to join our Legal team, working within our busy Private Client department based either remotely or in our Bristol or Shepton Mallet offices, and working in a flexible way to suit the needs of both them and the business.

Job Purpose



We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Private Client Lawyer who has experience of Wills, Trusts & Probate.

The successful applicant will have recent knowledge and experience within a Private Client Department, assisting on a varied caseload of Wills, Probates, LPA's and Estate Administration.

Practical experience handling client enquiries face to face and via telephone and email is essential as well as being confident and articulate.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent manner when dealing with clients and be able to visit clients in their homes as and when needed.

Responsibilities and Duties



Maintaining the Case Management Workflow and Key Stages ensuring these are run when due, thus ensuring all parties are sent real time updates To complete tasks competently and within defined timescales to stay in line with Service Level Agreements Maintaining and checking Due Diligence and Risk Assessments in line with the firms' policies Providing legal guidance and support to our clients Maintaining an adequate and up to date knowledge of the law and practice through your own CPD and training course allocated to you by the Head of HR, Learning & Development Ensuring compliance with the firms' policies and procedures Being a point of contact with clients with excellent communication levels Assisting the Legal Assistants and Trainees with any queries Mixed caseload including drafting and reviewing existing wills, drafting powers of attorney, trusts, dealing with administration of estates including advising on tax issues and dealing with Court of Protection work To complete tasks competently and within defined timescales including taking dictations and typing Liaising with clients and other contacts, dealing with queries, taking instructions and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary Maximize the firm's potential to cross - sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities

Requirements



At least 3 years PQE Completed a recognised legal qualification specialising in Private Client To be able to work to a high standard and possess a fine attention to detail and to be organised and efficient whilst working under pressure Excellent communication skills both written and verbal High standards of client care with a professional and pleasant manner Strong business development skills with contacts in the property sector in their local area Strong understanding of legal technology and how that can be used and integrated into a Private Client department Strong interest in helping support and develop junior members of staff Being involved in the development of the firms culture Excellent IT skills to work in an innovative and forward-thinking law firm
