Job Description
Astute are working with our client to hire a Principal Designer / CDM Advisor to work at their growing company. The successful candidate will have experience of CDM Project Management and a solid understanding of the Health and Safety requirements for construction projects. They will be happy to travel UK wide for the role.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group QHSE Advisor you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking Principal Designer duties, as defined by the CDM Regulations, including site visits, preparing documentation and liaising with the Principal Contractor
- Liaising and communicating with clients, designers, contractors and other to give guide on CDM and Health and Safety issues.
- Assisting in the preparation of Health and Safety documentation for contractors and others
- Attending design meetings, site meetings and carrying out site inspections
We are looking for someone with the following:
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
- CDM Project Management experience
- Engineering qualification in a relevant disciple (HNC/ONC or equivalent)
- Knowledge of
- At least 3 years\' experience working within a heavy industry construction environment, preferably Energy from Waste or Anaerobic Digestion
