Principal Engineer - Homologation and Compliance

As a result of our clients growing demands for their award winning range of combustion engines and a number of exciting development programmes, we are seeking to recruit a Principal Engineer, to work in an ever expanding Homologation and Compliance team.

The post will suit an individual looking for an opportunity to develop their career at the cutting within an engine/primary power source development environment.

About the role

• Primary aim of the role is to lead the commonisation of compliance protocols for multiple sites, establishing efficient and appropriate communication.
• Co-ordinate development of processes, reporting and associated systems.
• Drive cross-site learning and sharing of experience \xe2\x80\x93 establishing and developing best practice on both sites.
• Report progress and highlight issues within the Group Compliance structure.
• Liaise with Quality team to establish internal auditing scope and provide ongoing oversight.
• Role required moderate travel.

About you

• Education: Ideally educated to HND/degree level in an appropriate area (engineering, science, legal or environmental). Have a sound understanding of key engineering principles (i.e. showing an attention to detail, and being data driven).
• Experience: Experience within either an engineering, regulatory affairs, or legal fields. Previous powertrain experience is advantageous, but not essential.
• Communication: Superb communication skills are essential. You will need to work with, and influence at multiple levels within the company, and external organisations. Complex information will need to be communicated in a manner accessible to all.
• Organisational: Role will require significant project management capability, ensuring the wide number of stakeholders retain the common alignment goals, and that processes and systems are managed accordingly.
• Attention to detail: A strong attention to detail is required in order to drive consistent and robust regulatory compliance.
