About the team
We have ambitious plans to grow our Digital Advisory practice, and we are seeking individuals who are eager to learn, develop their skills and knowledge and who are above all committed to delivering excellence to join us on this journey. It goes without saying that you are a team player, have a \'can do\' attitude and understand that the best solutions come from collaboration and exchange of ideas.
As part of our Digital Finance Advisory team you will work with clients to understand how their finance functions work, be able to help them articulate what \'good\' looks like for them and how they can get there. We work with our clients to ensure they have a Finance function that reflects and supports their vision. We believe in designing a Finance function in which people are key, and technology is the enabler.
You will be working closely with clients, and therefore it is critical that you can establish trust and credibility quickly to build effective relationships.
You will also need to be an active listener, and a self-starter, who is organised and proactive. You will already have been involved in Finance Transformation projects and can demonstrate that have delivered value to the organisations you\'ve worked with. You should be comfortable in managing a team and juggling multiple deadlines.
If you haven\'t yet focused on a specific industry or sector, then that\'s okay, but you will at very least have a good understanding of current business and economic issues and trends.
About the role
As a Principal Consultant in RSMs Digital Advisory practice, your primary focus will be on delivering a high-quality service for our clients, for which you will need a finance background, strong analytical skills, and an exceptional communicator. At RSM, our work can take us UK-wide (and potentially, occasionally beyond), so you must be prepared to travel and for some overnight stays.
As part of your career development, you will also become involved in business development and practice management activities. This will include networking across the firm, attending targeting campaigns and meeting with prospective clients, producing case studies, and developing methodology.
