Overview
The Asda Brand PR team is looking for an enthusiastic and organised PR assistant to play a critical role in the day to day running of the Asda Press Office - with opportunities to learn and develop skills across the PR mix of one of the UK\'s best-known brands.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Asda Brand PR team in managing a busy press office calendar; identifying newsworthy stories, drafting and selling-in press releases to drive coverage
- Working with the Senior Press Officer and our PR agency, manage all sample requests and media mailers for the Asda Brand
- Support with press and influencer events as required
- Develop strong relationships with media and influencers through regular contact and meetings
- Conduct press office coverage tracking and reporting - sharing with relevant stakeholders across the business
- Support the wider team as necessary, monitoring competitor activity and identifying trends
- A degree or equivalent qualification in PR or Marketing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised and effective time manager
- Passion for food and drink
- Willing to learn and get involved with new projects and opportunities
- Valid driving license
