Job Description

We\'re looking for a Press and Communications Executive to join our award-winning Press Team to tell the world about the research strengths of Manchester Metropolitan University. As a core member of the University\'s Press Team, you will help us to tell stories through a range of channels to build Manchester Metropolitan\'s external reputation locally, nationally and internationally. Through media relations, stakeholder engagement and developing content (podcasts, video, features etc) you will deliver impactful communications to highlight Manchester Metropolitan\'s strengths to those who influence its success. Focussed on our Faculty of Science and Engineering, but with opportunities to engage across the wider organisation, you will work with academic colleagues to identify stories and opportunities which enhance (and, as needed, protect) the University\'s reputation, aligned to our central communications strategy. As well as being a trusted advisor on external communications, you will ensure the research impact stories you surface are used to build internal pride.
