Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Leader to join our nurturing educational environment at Brownlee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Leader, you will play a crucial role in fostering the development of our students through engaging activities and structured learning experiences. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in creating a positive atmosphere for learning.

This will be maternity cover from September 2025 to June 2026.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Manage classroom behaviour by establishing clear rules and expectations while promoting positive interactions among children. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.

Experience

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.

Minimum of 2 years previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting.

Strong leadership abilities to guide young learners effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children and their families. A drive to create an enriching learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised approach.
