Job Summary
The Premises Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and functionality of the facilities. This position involves managing various aspects of the premises, ensuring that all systems are operational and compliant with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, alongside project management skills.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the premises, ensuring all facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Manage and coordinate maintenance schedules for mechanical and electrical systems.
Oversee projects related to facility upgrades or repairs, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain schematics and documentation related to building systems and equipment.
Lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
Liaise with external contractors for specialised maintenance tasks as required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the premises.
Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics related to building systems.
Excellent project management skills, with experience in overseeing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of supervising a diverse team effectively.
Strong logical reasoning skills to address complex problems as they arise.
Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal, ensuring clear instructions are conveyed.
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
