to join our Construction (Building) Division. This role is integral to ensuring the effective strategic planning and management of projects during the pre-construction phase, from RIBA Stage 1 to 4, with continued support into RIBA Stages 5 and 6 as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) activities, ensuring projects are set up for a successful delivery
Lead and coordinate pre-construction activities, working closely with design, commercial, operational, and client teams
Provide input into traditional tendering processes, contributing to bid management strategies
Develop and manage pre-construction programmes, aligning with project objectives and client expectations
Ensure cost control, budget management, and risk assessment in collaboration with estimating and commercial teams
Promote innovation and sustainability, integrating modern methods of construction and industry best practices
Essential Criteria:
The successful candidate must have:
Extensive experience in pre-construction project management within the construction industry
Proven ability to lead and coordinate complex projects, ensuring seamless integration across stakeholders
Strong expertise in programme planning, cost control, and procurement strategies
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams
A thorough understanding of RIBA stages and pre-construction best practices
Experience in risk management, ensuring financial and operational stability during pre-construction phases
Desirable Criteria:
Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS, ICE)
Familiarity with modern methods of construction (MMC) and sustainability initiatives such as BREEAM and PAS 2080
Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or public sector construction projects.
Strong knowledge of local authority planning regulations and site logistics.
