Pre School Manager
Harrogate Gymnastics Academy is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who has a passion for managing Gymnastics programs for all children no matter what their ability or motivations for participating.

As a Pre School manager within Harrogate Gymnastics ambitious Team, you will be expected to work alongside other Section heads, whilst managing a team of coaches and taking the lead in supporting their development as coaches.

The successful candidate will create lesson plans to meet the needs of our gymnasts, train our staff in how to deliver them, ensure we have the correct staff in all pre school sessions and continue to develop our strategy to ensure that gymnasts receive world- class activity inclusive opportunities.

As part of this role there will be coaching hours as a lead coach within the pre school and recreational program. We also have opportunities to have this role as a part time 24 Hours per week or Full time 38-40 Hours per week when combined with some Recreational or Squad coaching hours.

Salary will depend on qualifications (UKCC Level 1, 2, 3+) and experience and can be combined with other coaching roles within the club for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities



Staffing



Responsible for overall coaching staff resource planning, hours deployed for classes, staff development including review and evaluation, staff continual education and personal development

Identify new-hire candidates, manage the interview process, ensure onboarding process is completed with all new staff

Recommend staff needs and staff changes for review and consideration to director

Schedule coaches, gymnasts, facilities and apparatus utilising part time and volunteer coaches where necessary.

Encourage a strong team culture and collaborative environment, while ensuring optimisation of resources

Desired outcome: retain, maintain and hire an outstanding coaching staff at all levels of instruction, optimally sized and trained to meet the needs of our gymnasts.

Program



Develop and implement plans to deliver objectives of the club

Develop consistency and continuity between coaches and classes.

Stay abreast of BG policies and gymnasts needs, and recommend new programs, classes and techniques accordingly.

Together with the coaches spot the talented gymnasts and pass them on to the squad program.

Desired outcome: maintain smoothly functioning, transparent and successful Pre school recreational program to feed into the Squad system and as a stand alone program

Facility and equipment



Provide feedback to the Facilities manager regarding facility adequacy, cleanliness, etc.

Desired outcome: provide a safe environment with appropriate equipment to support the training needs of the coaching staff

Communication



Internal - Serve as the key point-of-contact for all Recreation program-related communications with parents, coaches, other staff and the Director. Ensure timely resolution and follow-up communication. You will direct administrative or financial related queries to the reception team/ Business Manager.

Be the champion for program structure and progression, ensuring all coaches proactively and regularly communicate face to face with parents & gymnasts. Through simple and effective communications, you will build and foster a collaborative relationship with all staff, promoting teamwork

Attend Meetings as and when required



Assist the Director in preparing the annual budget and tracking spending by providing inputs in gymnastics program-related areas.

Serve as first point of contact for, and work effectively with, volunteers/volunteer coordinators to further the clubs needs

Identify potential improvements to systems to enhance functionality and improve efficiency, utilise technology as training aids for development of our gymnasts and coaches

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 23,000.00-28,000.00 per year
