We are working on behalf of a dynamic, fast-growing healthcare organization that delivers award-winning services across primary care. Our client is looking for an experienced
Practice Manager / National Operations Manager
to join their expanding team.
This is a key leadership role, working closely with Directors, Clinical Operations, Training & Development, and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the highest standards of clinical service delivery and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day running of clinical and non-clinical operations
Ensure delivery of services in line with CPPE, GPhC, Royal Pharmaceutical Society, and other regulatory standards
Continuously develop services to exceed current standards and expectations
Lead, direct, and manage a multidisciplinary team
Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and growth
Design and implement training programs and PDP plans for team development
Manage staff rotas, attendance, punctuality, and clinical incidents
Monitor and report on service delivery using KPIs to improve clinical outcomes
Manage CPPE course enrolment and completion for staff members
Regularly audit services to ensure compliance with clinical governance and best practices
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, PCNs, federations, and other partners
Collect and present data-driven performance metrics to leadership
Ensure team alignment with the company's vision, values, and standards
Participate in strategic business planning and provide operational recommendations
Contribute to client retention and organic business growth through service excellence
Prepare and deliver contract review presentations using clinical and non-clinical outcomes
Candidate Requirements
Strong background in primary care and practice operations
Proven experience managing clinical teams (pharmacists, technicians, etc.)
In-depth understanding of EMIS, SystmOne, PCN DES, GMS, and PMS contracts
Evidence of continued professional development
Effective communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience in performance management using KPIs and clinical outcomes
Knowledge of NHS structures, targets, and strategic priorities
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Self-starter with initiative, discipline, and strong organizational skills
Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to lead during change, scale teams, and deliver results
Comfortable presenting to stakeholders and clients
Previous experience in a growing or scaling business environment is advantageous
