As a
PR Vice Associate Director
, you will be the source of inspiration in managing and executing successful PR campaigns in a communications agency environment, you are the 'go to' expert on creating cutting-edge PR and social content development across all platforms and providing measurement for our clients that the best performance is consistently achieved. You will be a pivotal part of working on one of the most ambitious giga-projects in the Middle East.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Architect and implement a forward-thinking, globally scalable B2B PR communications strategy aligned with Qiddiya's vision and commercial goals, blending creative storytelling with measurable impact.
Champion strong brand protection ethos across all channels, ensuring consistent, crisis-resilient messaging that supports Qiddiya's reputation as a transformative project in the Kingdom and beyond.
Bring expert understanding of the marketing ecosystem to design omni-channel communications strategies that integrate B2B marketing, content development, data analytics, and media partnerships.
Serve as a lead voice and senior advisor on B2B PR strategies for Qiddiya, producing and promoting thought leadership that positions the brand at the intersection of innovation, culture, and global entertainment.
Proactively cultivate executive-level media relationships and strategic B2B content partnerships, securing high-impact placements and dialogues that elevate Qiddiya's presence in global markets.
Represent Qiddiya and MMGY Global at high-level forums, international summits, and key industry events as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert.
Showcase robust commercial rationale that contribute to the growth and reputation of Qiddiya as a magnet for talent, tourism, and investment. Guide teams in the delivery of compelling content and B2B communication programmes that reinforce Qiddiya's positioning as a world-first experiential city.
Monitor and optimise partner performance and third-party relationships, ensuring delivery standards are aligned with Qiddiya's brand values.
Promote a unified, integrated approach across PR, social, and digital disciplines, fostering collaboration across international teams and business units.
Ensure cross team functionality and a fully integrated approach across looking at the division as a whole from an elevated rather than team silo perspective.
Share a superb black book of key media influencers and contacts with the wider PR team, regularly taking a variety of different PR team members to meetings and functions to in turn increase their networks on behalf of the company.
Proactively nurture the ongoing development of a personal network, ensuring this is demonstrated through a range of key stakeholders and influencers who are regularly utilised for the benefit of: the business and clients; the attraction of new business; regular word-of-mouth recommendation and advocacy; to showcase and maximise the Company's brand, products, and campaigns; and the attraction of new recruits.
Actively support the Senior Leadership team and all Directors in achieving high levels of team performance through effective day to day management, motivation, and inspiration of teams, resulting in the delivery of outstanding results to clients.
Ensure an environment of personal and professional growth for the PR team members, in which they can thrive and be promoted at their own individual pace in accordance with business needs. Recognise team achievements; proactively identify and implement activities that will inspire and promote a supportive, efficient, and collaborative environment which ensures long-term service, retention, and low staff turnover.
Keep abreast of trade developments and competitor activity, acting as a resident expert in PR engagement, social media tools, trends, and applications to ensure that MMGY Global continues to remain the market leader and agency of choice for clients and employees.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all clients and their associated market sectors and industries, which is maintained and demonstrated in the delivery of strategic PR and social media communications counsel.
Experience of developing and successfully activating influencer PR campaigns to reach and engage global target audiences across all clients and accounts
High level of technical capability and knowledge of the inner workings of PR digital and social media strategies, including knowledge of paid social media and on-platform / audience analytics, thereby promoting the power and importance of industry influencer relations as part of an integrated communications campaign
Parallel insight to the performance, messaging and strategies of all client competitors is in evidence.
An awareness of the wider social, political and economic landscape and its implications for each client is demonstrated when providing counsel.
High levels of awareness and competence across all media and online communication platforms ensures that programmes utilise the correct channels and vehicles to reach target audiences and influencers.
Champions the improvement of a best practice.
Extends knowledge and understanding of their area(s) of practice/specialism throughout the business and externally through contribution and delivery of training, briefings, or involvement as a speaker/panel member.
Has the confidence to take difficult decisions and is able to provide a sound explanation for the decision.
Predicts long-term effects of current approaches through thorough analysis; recommends alternative strategies.
Demonstrates the ability to grow existing (organic), retained client business by effectively cross-selling agency services and teams.
Role Requirements:
Qualification to degree level.
At least 10 years' experience within public relations, 5 of which have been in a senior management position with direct line management responsibilities.
Demonstrable prior experience of providing senior client and Company advice and counsel, on strategic PR digital and social media communications and campaigns.
A thorough understanding of the travel and tourism industry.
