Westcon-Comstor is looking for a PR Executive to join our central marketing team. Reporting to the PR Director, you will be involved in the execution of PR campaigns that promote our brand, services and solutions to the media and influencers. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to create compelling stories that showcase our value proposition and differentiation.

This role is home based with some travel to our offices in the UK. You must be based in the UK.

You will:

• Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, byline articles and other PR materials
• Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers
• Monitor and report on media coverage, PR metrics and industry trends
• Support the organisation of press events, webinars, interviews and briefings
• Collaborate with central and regional marketing teams and other functions to align PR activities with the global marketing and communications strategy
• Lead on award submissions and identify opportunities to raise the profile of our senior executives, for example through podcast appearances and speaking opportunities at industry events

\xef\x82\xa7 Because of the international nature of our business, you will sometimes need to work non-standard hours for meetings across different time zones

About you:

• At least 2 years of experience in a PR, communications or journalism role, ideally in the B2B IT/technology sector
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
• A strong understanding of the media landscape and how to create stories that resonate with journalists
• Proactive and creative approach to PR planning and execution
• Team player attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
• Understanding and experience of broader marketing strategies and channels
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with an ability to work to tight deadlines
• Can thrive in an agile, evolving environment while prioritising and managing a broad workload with ease
• Able to work remotely on own initiative and as part of a virtual team in an international business environment
• Experience working with PR tools such as Cision, Meltwater and Vuelio to manage, monitor and measure PR efforts (though this isn\'t essential)
• Educated to degree level or above
