PowerBI Developer - Resource Solutions- 6 months - Flexible working

The Opportunity:
This role will be within the Commercial Data Team. This team has been growing over the last 2 years alongside a large business transformation. The business has an ambitious growth plan and a vision to become more a more digital business that makes data driven decisions. We recognise data as an essential enabler to that plan.

Technology wise, we have an Azure hosted data lake which is becoming our single source of truth. Databricks is used as the compute engine and automated data pipelines are created to move and refresh data into Power BI which is out strategic tool choice.

Key aspects/responsibilities:

• As PowerBI Developer you will
• Work on dashboard projects and uplifted capabilities around power BI within an Agile delivery model
• Attend daily standups and weekly sprints using tools such as devops to manage work
• Work alongside Data Engineers and Business Analysts to design dashboards and data model to understand technicalities of data
• Development within PowerBI

Key Skills/experience required:

• You will be an experienced Power BI designer/developer who has a strong visualisation capability and a keen eye for design.
• We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working with Power BI, designing multi-dimensional dashboards, and working with large data sets to create user focused visualisations.
• You will be good at demonstrating the "art of the possible" for Power BI creation to both delight the business end users and also help build the capabilities within the data teams.
• Your main focus should be working with the end users and values the useability of the solution.
• Experience or track record of building Power BI capabilities within an organisation would be desirable, mentoring more Junior Analysts or setting up communities of expertise.
• Background of working on large scale projects ideally for Financial Services or Insurance clients.
