Overall Purpose of The Job



The purpose of this role is to build an analytics community which includes experienced Power BI analysts/developers and novice Power BI users working within different business units cross the group. Novice users need coaching, expert users need oversight to ensure they comply with standards. The role will be within the Group Data team, where the candidate will mainly be using Power BI, but also supporting tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF).



Key Responsibilities and Tasks



Work with Business Leaders, professional analysts (within the business or external customers), novice users working within different group companies in different office locations around the world. Organize and run regular online activities and events to promote and grow a group wide Analyst community. Understand what the business are currently doing with data and support them to build solutions around their requirements. Develop and present high-impact reports and visualizations to senior management, providing insights that align with key business strategies. Lead the design and maintenance of data models to ensure the delivery of effective datasets to the business. Serve as a technical lead and expert on data tools and methodologies, continuously seeking to improve team capabilities and efficiency. Collaborate with business stakeholders to help define clear requirements for data analysis and reporting, aligned with business outcomes. Lead the maintenance of the Power BI tenant, with regular audits. Assist in initiatives to improve levels of data quality and integrity throughout the platform and beyond, working closely with Data Governance. Attend other V.Group management offices as required. Any other tasks as required.

Essential



Minimum qualification of a BSc. in a IT, mathematics or statistical field (MSc. Preferred). Proven experience in data analysis, data modelling, and business intelligence. Knowledge in foundational data management arenas, such as Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Integration. Expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, SSMS, and modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure Confidence in ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engage effectively with all levels of stakeholders. Expertise with data loading and ETL Concepts. Bulk data manipulation and import procedures. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with multiple projects and competing priorities. Willing to travel in support of business requirements. Good communication (oral and written) skills. Good organizational and planning skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good soft skills with the ability to engage and interact effectively with people at all levels.
