This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the delivery of top-quality potatoes for our established brands, such as Koffmann\'s\xc2\xae and From the Farm\xc2\xae.The Food Heroes is a family-run specialty food and branding business, supplying fresh and frozen products to the British foodservice industry and chefs nationwide through our network of wholesale, catering and retail partners.We\'re looking for someone to join our Farming Team as a Potato Fields Person. If you have a passion for agriculture, quality, and building strong grower relationships, this is the job for you!Reporting into the Farming Director, the role involves:

  • Ensure our grower base delivers the right quality potatoes at the right time, meeting contractual terms.
  • Cultivate strong bonds with our growers, providing them with commercial support.
  • Drive a relentless focus on improving potato quality through our grower network.
  • Promote the company brands.
  • Oversee the delivery of potato seed, conduct inspections, and manage any concerns.
  • Continuing to expand the current grower base by bringing new growers to the business.
As well as a passion for potatoes, we are also looking for\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Background working with growers, particularly in quality terms.
  • Experience with potato essential, would benefit if experience with vegetable crops also.
  • Solid knowledge of agriculture and potato crop production.
  • Proven track record of quality-oriented grower management.
  • Strong planning and quality management skills.
  • Exceptional relationship management abilities.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Tertiary agriculture qualification preferred.
