Job Description


We are looking to add 2 Full Time Pot Washes to our Hardworking and friendly team at Junction 28 for the busy Christmas Period. We are a fast paced, busy Restaurant located in Bassaleg, Newport. This will be a temporary contract for the festive period to finish on the 1st January 2024. The job is available for immediate start. There will be a minimum of 35 hours every week. The Restaurant is open Wednesday - Sunday. The days off will be Monday to Tuesday except Christmas Day as we are open. All Candidates must be 18 years old or over. The shifts will vary each day from lunches and dinner service. The mains duties for this job role shall include:

  • Basic food preparation
  • Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas
  • Unloading and putting away deliveries
  • Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
  • Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
This job role is physically demanding. The successful candidate must be able to work confidently by themselves but also very well as a team, willing to work hard and strive to keep the kitchen clean and up to standards. The pay for this job role is \xc2\xa37 - \xc2\xa310.80 per hour depending on age and experience. The successful candidate will have to complete their Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate of which the cost shall be covered by the business.
